Honestly, it did. God knew even before I was born who I would marry. He knows every one of my future children's names. He knows where my future family will live. He even knows about my future kitchen that will be painted golden yellow with floral accents...

Over the last few months, God has been healing me and making me whole, to the point that my feelings for the guy were a thing of the past. And that's where it just needed to stay.

You meet an amazing person and just like that, you fall for them. They have everything you want and more. It seems like this person isn't even real. It happens. It's almost inevitable. We are soul beings so we are capable of having emotions. They have the whole package and you are sure you have found "the one." That is until one single factor comes and disqualifies them from being bae.

I know. I get it. Another article about waiting. Been there, still there. I understand, yet you can never be over encouraged in the Word. And plus what you got to lose? Patience? Time? Ha ha.

The human heart. Who can perceive it? It feels. It wants. It needs. It desires. And when time and opportunity permits, it manifests itself in the physical. Living in American culture, my heart has been presented many cultural ideologies and values that cause a war inside of me; when 21st Century values conflict with Kingdom principles. We are told to be ambitious, to better ourselves and increase our value, all while pursuing the many milestones one can experience in a lifetime. But as a son of God, we are given the mandate to “seek first His kingdom and His righteousness.”

This post is dedicated to all the extraordinary women of God that serve the body and love the church beyond ordinary human capabilities. And also to the men that are fortunate to do life with them.
