5 Ways To Get Your Hands On Sneakers

If you are just getting into the sneaker game and are looking for ways to get your hands on the latest kicks or even some past holy grails, you came to the right place. I’m going to share with you 5 ways to get your hands on Sneakers.

5 Ways To Get Your Hands On Sneakers

Retail

Retail in my opinion is the best and sometimes the cheapest way to get a pair of sneakers. Retail is the initial price the brand decided to market the value of the shoe. Before brands sold their products in brick and mortar shops but gone are the days where we had to camp outside of shoes to get our hands on kicks. Brands have changed the way that they have released their products from physical to digital. Gone are the days of getting robbed for exclusive kicks. I mean, how can you explain the drops of blood on your new kicks?

Resell

Imma keep it 2 Virgils with you. This my last resort because resell shoes can fall into two categories or both: higher selling price or preowned shoes. Unlike retail price, resell prices are higher to make the reseller a profit. In some rare cases, the resell prices can be lower than the retail price. Platforms like GOAT, Stock X, and Grailed are great places to buy resell shoes. I would not recommend buying shoes from consignment shops like Poshmark and Mercai because there is no middle man to verify the authenticity of the shoe. Although, you can use social media to find a plug that is selling shoes, becare for scammers.

Raffle

If you really want to get your hands on the latest release, it's best to not put all your eggs in one basket. Entering raffles can help increase your likelihood of getting a pair of kicks. Many brands such as DTLR and SNS have in-store or online raffles. If you do enter the raffle, be sure to have the money in your account because once selected, they deduct the money with the quickness.

(Ro)Bot

Many people (mostly resellers)  use them to beat the sneaker apps and sites with releases. I personally do not advise using a bot.  As a sneaker collector, I think it’s the principle of the matter. I was once tempted (maybe twice), but I repented and God came through. Somebody shout “Hallelujah!”

Robbery

Only if you are about that life. Because desperate times call for desperate measures. But don’t call me to bail you out of jail.

I hope this post helps you on your journey to building out your dream sneaker collection. Let me know if you need any more clarification on how to get sneakers or any possible sneaker topics you want to see in the comments below
